boiler puffing black smoke out of flue

I have a heating system 10 years old. Weil Mclain boiler. We just changed the nozzle, filter, screen etc. We vacuumed out the boiler. When the boiler shuts down it puffs smoke out of the flue. Can you tell me what might be causing this and how to fix it?
