About a week ago I had to have the auto fill valve and an auto air bleeder replaced in my gas fired boiler system. the system had run low on water causing water hammer. Now I have a vibration \humming when the boiler fires and the temp starts to reach around 190.
I have bled the baseboard heaters until there is no more air coming out. The noise stops immediately after the gas turns off. At this point the pump is of course still running, but the noise stops. Could this be a pump vibration or any other ideas. This noise can not be heard very well near the boiler but it resonates thru out the house especially in the room directly above the boiler in the basement. The system is 4 years old, it is a Lochinvar 180000 btu with the water psi at about 13. HELP It is driving me nuts!!! Thanks.
