"Marvel.Mystery Oil" in Oil tank?

I recently purchased an "old" house in NY. The house is heated via Oil/Steam and has a 1000 gal(!) oil tank. The seller told me that when he gets a delivery of oil, he routinely adds roughly 1 gallon of Marvel Mystery Oil per every 100 gallons of oil to the tank upon fill-up. Any comments/suggestions?
