Well, I talked to my plumber. My Boiler is in the front of the house, so to get the heat to the back we put the large vents on all floors in the back and Hoffman 40's on all floors in front. Also a "T" double air vent in the basement to pull the steam to the back. It worked great. The other key item is INSULATING the pipes in the basement. There was a reason asbestos was put on in the early days. Now that everyone has removed it, you need to use an alternative insulator!
