We've got a Weil-McClane gas fired steam boiler that's about 13 years old. We've also got a Honeywell Programmable Thermostat. When the room heats up past the set temperature, the boiler keeps heating up. If I look at the burners, they are still firing and not really cycling down. I don't know if this could be a problem with the thermostat, because when I shut off the thermostat the boiler does shutoff. Do the burners need to be adjusted? Is it a problem of short cycling?
