He then shut off the water supply and return valves for the Amtrol Boiler Mate and this stopped the leaking at the relief valve. After several days he turned on the water supply and return valves to the Boiler Mate and the leaking started again at the relief valve. The technician's opinion is that the Boiler Mate has a "pin hole" leak inside causing the problem. Does this sound right?
Stick a gage on it and see what the pressure is...if it is at or above the relief valve set point, the you gat a leak in the heat exchanger. Relief valve should not weep as one poster said!
