I just bought 53-years-old house with one-pipe steam heating system. It seems that the entire heating
system is at least 25 years old. My problem is that I am not able to find any main vents. I have a vent on
top of the Hartford loop, but no main vents where return line connects to main.
Is it possible to NOT have main vents in a system? I understand that some of the radiator vents may
serve as main vent. They do seem to release unusual amount of air when system heats up.
Thanx
Bob.
